And the killing of innocent lives goes continues.

Reports have recently been confirmed that a school recently converted to a United Nations refuge for families displaced from their homes, was struck by an Israeli missile, after weeks of fighting in and around the Gaza Strip continues.

It should be noted that some media outlets like CNN are reporting rumors the strike could have been the result of a Hamas rocket and not one fired from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

However, Director of Operations in Gaza for the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Mr. Robert Turner confirmed the bombing of the school, which is located 1.5 miles from the Gaza/Israeli border in the Raqqu Provenance of Syria, was the result of an IDF missile.

According to Mr. Turner there was no advance warning by Israel before the bombing occurred, while telling Al Jazeera “"There are certainly multiple dead and injured."

A U.N. spokesmen Chris Gunnes said coordinates for the schools location, which is in the Raqqu Provenance of Syria, were given to the Israeli Military prior to the bombs falling on what was supposed to be a safe haven those who sought refuge there.

As questions mount as to why the coordinates were given to Israel in the first place, the spokesmen stated the move was done in an effort to prevent a strike from happening in the first place.

A report from the Gaza ministry has stated that 15 are dead and at least 200 injured.

Gunness told Reuters there had been three other United Nation shelters bombed since Monday.

Note: As of 7/24 @ 11:25 PST CNN is reporting 16 are now confirmed dead with the numbered of injured over 200.

Is Technology Helping Or Hindering Religion?

I came across the above advice recently and while it's done in jest it got me thinking, from a religious standpoint, about the pros and cons of technology and whether or not it's helping or hindering religion. It’s no secret that technology has made it possible for the gospel to reach people in ways never imagined before thereby, on one hand, making technological advances pretty essential for religion as a whole. On the other hand when we see things like the saying above, we are seeing technology doing to religion the exact opposite of growth, and someone who’s recommending people who are lonely or feeling forgotten to turn to Facebook instead of God, is a perfect example of this. So do the pros of technology in religion outweigh the cons? The long arm of technology As Christians it’s our responsibility to spread God’s message and word, plus how through Christ we’re able to live this earthly life living with and in God’s divine grace rather than law.

A Short Story: Two Brothers, Two Fields, And A Stranger

Image courtesy:  prozac1 Good day all, I hope you are all in good spirits! Today’s message started-out as that, a message. But as I began putting pen to paper  The Lord spoke to me and as a result the message and the way I was going to deliver it today is completely different than what I intended. Instead of a short and simple message on the disadvantages of repetitive prayer, today’s message turned into a short story about prayer and so much more, including how we limit ourselves when only asking for God’s blessings in prayer. It’s the often the little things that can have the biggest impacts on a person’s life, and how lives can be completely changed in one season. Two Brothers, Two Fields, and a Stranger Some time ago an old Christian man, that many looked-up too and admired as a committed man of faith, was about to breathe his last. This old Christian had two sons and he called them in one day to give them each their inheritance, which

Perverting The Gospel Of Christ: It Happened Then And It Happens Now

Image courtesy of Artchive.com Beware of those preaching that the world is still under God's law and not His loving grace. Good day friends! As I was reading my bible this morning I was drawn to Galatians. For those who don’t know, Galatians is a letter written by the Apostle Paul to the churches of Galatia. You see, the people of Galatia, who were Gentiles, were in a state-of-confusion because there were some people going about spreading the message of the Old Testament, which is the message of law and that in order to receive God’s favor one must abide by the Jewish laws, rather than preaching the message of grace. How do we know this? Because in Galatians 1:7-9 Paul tells the churches this; “Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so I now sa
